chapter 3
Frank’s Mark – The Path to Oblivion
Frank had always been a man of arrogance, thriving on the weakness of others. In his youth, he relished his power over those he bullied, but none haunted him more than Edill D. Once just another victim in Frank’s eyes, Edill had transcended into something beyond human comprehension.
When Frank learned of Edill’s return to public consciousness, an old fury burned within him. He told himself it was hatred, resentment—but deep down, it was fear. The boy he once tormented was now a being of legend, and Frank couldn’t accept it.
The Mark of Judgment
Unbeknownst to Frank, the moment he first crossed Edill in malice, he had been marked. Not by Edill’s conscious choice, but by the fabric of existence itself—an unshakable brand on his soul. It was not a curse or a punishment; it was a verdict.
A being such as Edill did not need to seek vengeance. The universe, in its balance, had already decided.
Frank had no idea that with every cruel act, the mark deepened, embedding itself into his very essence.
The Final Confrontation
Determined to prove his dominance, Frank sought out Edill once more, convinced that facing him would restore his own sense of control. But as he stood before him, something inside Frank snapped.
The mark on his soul ignited.
He couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t move. His vision blurred, and in that moment, he felt what he had done—not just to Edill, but to every life he had trampled. Regret clawed at his chest, but it was too late.
Frank gasped, his body convulsing as unseen chains wrapped around his soul. The weight of his sins collapsed upon him all at once.
Edill did nothing. He didn’t need to. The universe had already sealed Frank’s fate.
The Descent into Oblivion
When Frank died, there was no afterlife waiting for him—no judgment, no redemption, no flames of punishment.
Instead, there was nothingness.
The mark on his soul had severed his existence from the cycle of life and death. He would not be reborn. He would not suffer in Hell. He would not even be remembered.
He was erased.
As he tumbled into the infinite void, the last whisper of his fading consciousness clawed at the silence:
"I don’t want to disappear..."
But there was no one left to hear him.
